6 sigma & Lean Six Sigma

This methodology is oriented to continuous improvement based on ordered stages for problem-solving.

The following stages are defined as the DMAIC method and are the way to approach the projects:

  • Define: Defines, describes and detects the problem in a process from the customer’s (recipient) point of view.
  • Measure: Measures and points out the critical variables for the recipient and establishes the current performance level.
  • Analyze: Analyses the process behaviour with the goal of understanding and being able to set on the correct and most influencing variables to the final result.
  • Improve: After analysing the integrating parameters of a process and understanding its behaviour, it is time to identify the possible improvement opportunities to implement and prioritize them according to their impact.
  • Control: Control parameters are defined at this stage in order to detect any unwanted variation after the improvement measures implementation.
